Vikings' LB Kendricks Named NFL Defensive Rookie Of The Month

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The accolades keep coming for Minnesota Vikings rookies.

On Thursday, the team announced linebacker Eric Kendricks has been named October's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.

In the last three games, Kendricks has posted 20 tackles, four sacks, five tackles for losses (TFL) and five quarterback hurries (QBH). Kendricks is tied for the league lead in sacks among all rookies.

Kendricks is the third Vikings defensive player to win the award and the first Vikings defensive rookie to win the award since 2003 (DT Kevin Williams).

Kendricks was the 45th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Just last week, the team's rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs was named Pepsi Rookie of the Week.
