Vikings Tight End Kyle Rudolph, Wife Expecting Twins

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph and his wife threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Target Field Monday night, and it was a way for the pair to share some exciting family news.

Rudolph and his wife, Jordan, found out they will welcome not one, but two additions to their family. They are due in October and are expecting twin girls. To announce the news, Rudolph sported a Twins jersey with his Vikings No. 82, and on the back where the last name typically goes, it said "It's Twins."

Rudolph was the Vikings' second-leading receiver last season with 49 catches for 495 yards and five touchdowns. The five scores led the team.

He's now at least the third Minnesota pro athlete to have or expect twins. Twins first baseman Joe Mauer and his wife, Maddie, had twin girls who are now toddlers. Wild star Zach Parise and his wife, Alisha, had twins back in January of 2014. They had a girl, Emelie, and a boy, Jaxson.
