Vikings' Joseph Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings can add another player honor to their tally this year: Defensive tackle Linval Joseph has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Joseph, who is in his second season with the Vikings, received the honor for his performance in the Vikings' 21-18 overtime win over the St. Louis Rams last Sunday.

In the game, Joseph was credited with 10 combined tackles, 0.5 sacks, three tackles for losses and two pressures. Joseph's 10 combined tackles is tied for most by a defensive tackle in a game this season.

Joseph's 26 solo tackles in 2015 also leads the league among all defensive tackles.

Kevin Williams was the last defensive tackle on the Vikings to receive the honor in 2004.
