The pre-season game against the Chargers was the first football game at the new home for the Vikings. Crowds filled the large venue.  Beforehand, they tailgated in their new spots.  A portion of the spots sat empty Sunday.

Some skipped the parking lots together, taking advantage of the bike parking near the stadium doors.

Julie Van Pelt and Kent Johnson drove five hours from Illinois for the game.

Bernice Cole of Richfield chose to spend her 93rd birthday watching her beloved Vikings. She called the structure, "just gorgeous."

Maggie Humphrey of St. Louis Park summed up the experience.

"It feels good to have a home, we've been waiting and waiting," Humphrey said.
