MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesota Vikings fans will celebrate anything, from a big win to a new coach.
On Saturday, purple-clad faithful will gather at Hubert's across the street from the Metrodome, as its iconic white roof is deflated.
The event, coined "Dome-O Arigato," which in Japanese means "thanks a lot," will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It's roughly the time during which construction crews will take the roof down.
"We're just hoping to get together with some great fans, great people, and reminisce about the Dome a little bit," said Nick Vetter of Low and Inside, the Blaine-based group running the event.

Hubert's will offer 1982 beer prices ($1.50 for bottles of Budweiser and Michelob Golden Light), $1 Dome Dogs, and "Roofless Burgers" -- served without the top bun.
Authenticated pieces of the Metrodome roof will be sold for $1, and T-shirts celebrating the Dome's 32-year sports history are also available.
One dollar of every 'Home Sweet Dome' t-shirt sold is going to the NFL Alumni Minnesota Chapter-Caring for Kids Program. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
