Vikings Fans Devastated After Bridgewater's Season-Ending Injury

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dressed in purple pride on Tuesday, Vikings fans had a tough time enjoying The Great Minnesota Get-Together after word of Teddy Bridgewater's injury spread on social media.

"I found out from a text from a friend as I'm on my way to the fair," Vikings fan Dominick Rowlland, from Plymouth, said. "That was not how I wanted to start my fair off."

Inside the Vikings Locker Room building at the fair, one fan was buying a Bridgewater jersey as Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer's press live conference aired behind her.

"I'm sad," Beata Papp, from Lakeville, said. "I don't know."

Many fans wondered how long Bridgewater would be out of the game.

"I'm super angry because it happened in practice and it's non-contact injury so it's even worse," Jack Emer, from Plymouth, said.

Others weighed the Vikings options for a quarterback.

"I know Hill has done great so if he can step in there's still hope," Papp said.

Still Vikings fans say even with Bridgewater out for at least a season, they're not out of hope that this season will favor purple and gold.

"We still got AP [Adrian Peterson] and a good defense," Connor Steffens, from Wayzata, said. "I don't think it's over, it's just not as bright as it was."
