Vikings: Adrian Peterson's Meniscus Repair Surgery Was Successful

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- In a statement released Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings say Adrian Peterson's meniscus repair surgery was successful.

According to the team, the lateral meniscus repair surgery was performed Thursday morning by team physician Chris Larson at Twin Cities Orthopedics.

"There were no additional injuries or issues noted in or surrounding the knee joint during the surgical procedure. The rehabilitation process will begin immediately," the team added.

Peterson injured his knee in the team's victory against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.
