Vigil To Be Held For Boy Killed Trick-Or-Treating In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A vigil will take place Tuesday night for a little boy who was killed while trick-or-treating in north Minneapolis.

A car hit 5-year-old Victor Laureano-Uriza on Halloween on Victory Memorial Parkway and Knox Avenue North. The accident happened after dark, around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.

He was dressed as one of his favorite characters, a Transformer. Police say the parents had stopped their car and the boy ran out toward some houses to trick-or-treat.

Investigators say an on-coming driver did not have time to stop.

The vigil will be held near the accident scene at 6 p.m.
