Victim ID'd In Fatal Cedar-Riverside Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified the victim who was shot and killed in Minneapolis' Cedar-Riverside neighborhood Sunday.

The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Sunday on Cedar Avenue South, near the Cedar Cultural Center.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He later died at the hospital.

On Wednesday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 25-year-old Alamagan Mohamed Abdullahi of Minneapolis. According to the examiner, he died from multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death is homicide.

Witnesses say the shooting happened after a disagreement between Abdullahi and the shooter. Their relationship is unclear.

While the suspect has yet to be located, investigators say the shooting appears to be an isolated event.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police.
