Veterans March For Suicide Awareness In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Veterans came together in St. Paul Saturday in full combat gear.

They walked 23 miles in honor of the 23 veterans that commit suicide every day.

Sergeant Adam Codra was injured in Afghanistan and turned out for the rally. He says it's important to have events like these to raise awareness about veteran suicide.

"After I got blown up, my third surgery, I needed help with medical supplies that the VA wouldn't give me," he said. "The Warrior Foundation provided me with a bed, so I could get out of bed."

Sgt. Codra has a GoFundMe that raises money for the EOD Warrior Foundation. You can donate here.
