UW-Superior, Kafkas University Sign Partnership

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin-Superior is partnering with a university in Turkey to promote student exchanges.

An agreement signed Wednesday with Kafkas University in Kars, Eastern Anatolia means initially that qualifying Turkish students will come to UW-Superior and after a year of English language immersion, they'll finish with two more years in computer science.

Local reports said Superior Chancellor Renee Wachter says the agreement could eventually be extended to faculty exchanges. The first Turkish students are expected in 2018 or 2019.
