Use Of Minneapolis Parking App Growing Each Month

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The new Minneapolis parking app appears to be going gangbusters.

Mark Read, the assistant parking systems manager for the app,  says use of the app has been growing each month ever since it launched last October. Moreover, app parkers now make up 18 percent of all parking transactions.

Read says parking revenues are up since the app launched, but he says that typically happens during the cold weather months.

Feedback on the app has been positive, Read added, saying that most people who try it continue to use it.
