Whoops! USA Today Calls Garrison Keillor 'A Man From Wisconsin'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Whether it's Bob Dylan, Prince, or Judy Garland, Minnesotans are (overly?) proud of famous individuals born in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. So, woe to those who mistakenly report that a famous Minnesotan is from another state.
That brings us to today's example: Garrison Keillor.
In its Tuesday issue, USA Today called the legendary "A Prairie Home Companion" host "a man from Wisconsin." Whoops.
Oops, @USATODAY ... Garrison Keillor is from Minnesota. pic.twitter.com/8GH0I3ohj4

The writer, unfortunately, failed to realize Keillor is not only from Minnesota (Anoka), but the famous old-style variety radio show is set in a fictional Minnesota town, Lake Wobegon. That's something a quick search on the internet would tell you.
Keillor, 73, delivered his final show of "A Prairie Home Companion" last Friday in Hollywood.
