'U' Study: More Time Together Makes For Happier Married Couples

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Just in time for Valentine's Day, a University of Minnesota study finds that absence may not make the heart grow fonder.

Researchers found that married couples are happier and more fulfilled when they spend time together.

They discovered that married couples are nearly twice as happy when they are with their spouse.

Activities also mean more and are less stressful.

Not surprisingly, though, parents tend to spend less time together -- especially those with kids under 12.
