U.S. Bank Stadium Unveils Art Collection

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- U.S. Bank Stadium is a lot more colorful place after the installation of some amazing works of art.

On Monday night, more than 40 local and national artists, 48 students and 12 muralists commissioned for the project saw their artwork installed.

Those in attendance took part in self-guided tours of the robust art collection throughout the stadium.

The event also included remarks from Vikings owner and president Mark Wilf who thinks fans will really enjoy it.

"I think they'll just connect in an emotional way about what Vikings games meant in their youth, experiences about Minnesota and their life here in Minnesota," Wilf said. "So it's going to be a whole host of ways they can experience the sensation of being part of a great community building like this."

Wilf says the collection honors the significant history of the Vikings sports and culture in Minnesota.
