U.S. Added 201,000 Jobs In August

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday that 201,000 jobs were added in August, and the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.9 percent.

The top three industries that showed job growth in August were:

  • Professional and Business Services (53,000 jobs)
  • Health Care (33,000 jobs)
  • Wholesale Trade (22,000 jobs)
