'U' Police: 2 Research Assistants Robbed At Gunpoint

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- University of Minnesota Police says two research assistants were robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday on the West Bank campus.

The robbery happened just before 2 a.m. just north of Mondale and Willey Halls. The victims say two suspects approached them and one showed a gun.

The victims were told to get on the ground by the suspects, who then took a cellphone and two wallets containing cash and credit cards. The victims were not hurt.

Police described the suspects suspects as black men between 18 and 25 years old. Both are about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, have medium builds and short black hair.
