U Of M Student Groped By Stranger Off Campus

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A University of Minnesota student was groped on Friday while she was walking toward her apartment building.

The student was walking southbound on Huron Boulevard, near Essex Street. She told police the man had been following her for several blocks and that he fled west on Fulton Street after the assault.

The woman was not injured.

The suspect was described as white man, between 20 and 30, about 5-foot-10 with a medium build, wearing a dark blue hat, blue t-shirt, khaki shorts and dark flip-flops.

The assault happened off campus, and Minneapolis police are investigating.
