Tyus Jones Going To The Grizzlies As Timberwolves Choose Not To Match Offer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Tyus Jones is heading to Memphis.

The hometown point guard signed a three year, $28 million deal with the Grizzlies.

The Timberwolves could have matched the offer but didn't.

A statement by the team said, "We sincerely thank Tyus for his contributions on the court and Tyus and the entire Jones family for their genuine impact on the Twin Cities community. We wish them nothing but the best in Memphis."

It also thanked Tyus and the Jones family for their impact on the Twin Cities.
