Two Officers Hurt In Fight At St. Cloud Children's Home

ST. CLOUD (WCCO) – Two police officers were injured in St. Cloud Thursday evening after responding to a report of a large fight at the St. Cloud Children's Home, according to a report from the police department.

Police say a fight between about nine adolescent kids broke out at the facility at around 8:50 p.m., with some of them threatening to assault staff.

At least 10 officers arrived on scene to try to get the situation under control, ultimately arresting seven of those involved in the incident, ranging from ages 14-16. One of the injured officers sustained a broken nose during the fight.

Those arrested are facing various charges, including assault, obstructing legal process, disorderly conduct and riot.
