Police: 1 Killed, 1 Injured In Maplewood Drive-By Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Two people were shot in Maplewood Saturday evening in what police believe was a drive-by shooting.
It happened outside Merwin Liquors, on the corner of Rice Street and Larpenteur Avenue.
Both victims were taken to Regions Hospital. One of the victims died and the other was shot multiple times in the leg, but is expected to survive.
The victims had spoken with people inside a white, mid-2000s Honda Accord, then went into the liquor store. When they came out, shots were fired, and a vehicle sped off northbound on Rice Street.
Police said they believe the gunfire came from the car and that there were multiple people in the car.
