Twins Put Shane Robinson On Family Emergency Leave

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have placed outfielder Shane Robinson on family emergency leave.

Robinson traveled to Boston after his infant daughter underwent emergency surgery. Manager Paul Molitor said Friday that Robinson would not return to the team before Sunday.

The Twins recalled Aaron Hicks from a rehab assignment and he started in center field Friday night against the Kansas City Royals. Hicks hit .247 in 28 games before going on the disabled list June 13 with a right forearm strain.
