Twins On Verge Of Naming Paul Molitor New Manager

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The Minnesota Twins are on the verge of announcing that Paul Molitor will be the team's next manager.

Last year, when there were whispers Ron Gardenhire's job might be in jeopardy, there were also whispers Paul Molitor was in line to replace him.

That's getting closer to reality.

Various reports suggest it will happen early in the week. One WCCO source said that unless Molitor changes his mind, he'll be the team's pick.

He was on staff this year and has long toyed with the idea of managing.

Expect him to bring in a number of new coaches and staff, with little left from the previous regime.
