UND Nat'l Champion Hockey Team To Be Honored By Twins

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The national champion University of North Dakota men's hockey team will be recognized during a Minnesota Twins baseball game this weekend.

UND last month won its eighth national hockey title and its first in 16 years.

The team will be honored during an on-field ceremony before Sunday's Twins game in Minneapolis. UND head coach Brad Berry will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He says the event will be a great opportunity for alumni and fans in the Twin Cities to celebrate the national title.

Twins President Dave St. Peter is a Bismarck native and a 1989 graduate of UND.
