Despite Loss, Twins Fans Soak Up The Sun At Target Field

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- On this warmest day of the season, the seats in the sun were the place to be at Target Field.

Sunglasses and shorts were the standard uniform for Minnesota Twins fans on Wednesday. And even those with a winter-induced pallor weren't afraid to show off some leg.

"I don't think they're too bad," said Twins fan Matt Hall. "I've got a good base level going on."

But other fans planned to avoid taking in too much sun, while embracing the food and adult beverages.

"Sun-tan lotion, binoculars, and sunglasses and lots of money for beer and food," said fan Diane Burnett.

From the smells of yummy snacks to the sounds of cheering fans, it was all sun and fun in downtown Minneapolis.

Unfortunately, the Twins lost to the Oakland Athletics 7-4 in the 11th inning.
