Ondoro Wins Twins Cities Marathon Again, In Record Time

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Dominic Ondoro made Twin Cities Marathon history on Sunday, breaking a 31-year course record with his time of 2:08:51 and a first place finish.

"The last two miles were hilly and I love hilly," Ondoro said after the race.

He won last year's Twin Cities Marathon, too.

Finishing first among Minnesotans was Richfield's Jon Peterson, who finished seventh overall. His time was 2:20:21.

It was also his marathon debut.

"It's amazing, that was my plan," he said. "I knew it would be cool and relatively fast."

Jane Kibii from Kenya finished first for the women.

Her time was 2:30:01.
