Twin Cities Donut Crawlers Brave Rain, Crowds In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Saturday's Twin Cities Donut Crawl was met with a lot of people--- and a lot of rain.

It was hard to tell donuts were being served in the sea of umbrellas at St. Paul's Mears Park -- volunteers were busy serving the large crowd Saturday morning.

This year, there were eight shops and a mini-donut truck. Coffee was also served.

Lines were very long, but people stuck it out for their delicious reward.

Tickets for the event ran from $35 to $500 -- The $35 ticket got you a donut from each shop and an event t-shirt, while the $500 VIP pass included a limo ride to the event.

The proceeds go to Second Harvest Heartland, and this year's event raised 30,000 meals for the organization.
