Twin Cities Cyclists Turn Out For St. Paul Classic

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Sunday's weather was perfect for thousands of cyclists at the St. Paul Classic Bike Tour.

The 21st annual classic is the state's largest ride and includes cyclists of all ages and skill levels. Some of the families that participated Sunday have three generations of riders.

Two sisters at the race said despite the challenging ride, they were having a good time.

"The weather, seeing a different part of St. Paul, and everybody's friendly, especially on the hills," Karen Milk said. "You get a lot of encouragement. I love seeing the city."

Riders can choose from a 15, 30 or 45 mile route. Five rest stops happen along the route and feature music and local food and drinks.
