Truck Located In Fatal Hit-And-Run, Man Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police in Albert Lea say they have located the truck they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident and arrested a 51-year-old man.

One person was killed around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening near the intersection of Main Street and Katherine Street.

By the time police arrived on scene, the victim was found deceased. On Thursday, the victim was identified as 66-year-old Joanne Carol Klein, of Albert Lea.

Police put out a call for help finding a blue Ford truck with damage to the front.

On Thursday morning, police said they had located the truck and thanked the public for their assistance.

A short time later, police said they had arrested Leslie David Jones, of Hartland, on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide.
