Troopers Seeking To Honor Good Samaritan Who Helped Save Semi Driver

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The State Patrol is looking to recognize the heroic deeds of a good Samaritan who helped pull a semi driver from his burning cab earlier this week.

Troopers posted a message to Facebook on Wednesday, asking for help finding the man who assisted in the rescue.

They said this good Samaritan ran to the scene of a crash Monday in Windom where a semi failed to stop for traffic, rear-ended another semi and went up in flames.

The man and a responding trooper pulled the semi's driver from his truck's burning cab and got him to safety. He suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol says that without the good Samaritan's help, it's unlikely the driver would have been saved.

Anyone with information on this good Samaritan is asked to call 507-476-4020.
