Transportation Company Returning Next Week
CHISHOLM, Minn. (AP) — More than 140 soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard are scheduled to return to the state next week.
Soldiers from the 114th Transportation Company return after a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.
The company's commander Capt. Ryan Koester says the Chisholm-based unit helped to draw down operations in Afghanistan. Soldiers moved equipment over a combined 85,000 miles in closing five bases.
The unit is currently undergoing demobilization.
