Tow Truck Driver Hurt In St. Louis Park Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a tow truck driver had to be hospitalized early Wednesday morning after a crash on Highway 100 in St. Louis Park.

Authorities were called at about 1:30 a.m. to the area of Highway 100 and Highway 7 in St. Louis Park after a flatbed tow truck hit a concrete barrier on the right shoulder of Highway 100. The area where the crash happened is under construction.

Police said the tow truck suffered significant damage in the crash and oil spilled across the highway. The driver of the truck was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. It's not known how badly the driver was hurt.

Authorities said what led up to the crash is under investigation.
