Tony Oliva To Visit N.D. As Part Of Twins Caravan Tour

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Legendary Minnesota Twins outfielder Tony Oliva is visiting Bismarck on Monday as part of the annual Twins Caravan tour.

The visit to the University of Mary will also include current players Trevor May and Tyler Duffy, Twins broadcaster Cory Provus, and the Twins' mascot, T.C. Bear.

The event takes place at the McDowell Activity Center on campus from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

The Cuban-born Oliva won the 1964 American League Rookie of the Year award and was an eight-time All-Star. Oliva spent his entire 15-year career with the Twins, winning the AL batting titles in 1964, 1965 and 1971.
