Waseca Police: Arson Suspected In Tink Larson Field Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities suspect the fire that destroyed part of a Waseca baseball field earlier this month was started purposefully.
Firefighters responded to flames at Tink Larson Field around 8 p.m. on April 6. They spent an hour and a half trying to suppress the fire, which ultimately burned down the concession stand and grandstand.

The field was built in 1939 and renamed after Tink Larson, a legendary high school baseball figure in Minnesota, in 1994.
The State Fire Marshal Division and Waseca Police Department ask the public to call the Minnesota Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020 with any information about the fire.
The Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the city of Waseca are each offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspected arsonist.
Authorities recently spoke to a man seen at the field the night of the fire, but released him and absolved him of suspicion.
Though authorities suspect arson, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are still identifying and interviewing individuals seen near the field the night of the fire.
