Timberwolves To Hold Mini Camp Before NBA Summer League

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Thursday they'll host a four-day mini camp and an open scrimmage before they head to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League.

The Timberwolves will open summer league play July 10 against the L.A. Lakers.

Before heading west, the Timberwolves will hold a four-day mini camp with practices July 6-9 at their practice courts at Mayo Clinic Square. The camp will include the Timberwolves Summer Showcase, an open scrimmage that's free for the public on July 8 at Target Center.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for that scrimmage, and at 6 p.m. for season members.

In addition to playing the Lakers in the NBA Summer League, the Timberwolves will face the Chicago Bulls July 11 and Utah Jazz July 13. The Timberwolves have not finalized their summer league roster.

Their scrimmage will include Andrew Wiggins and their two first-round draft choices, Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyus Jones.
