Timberwolves Sign Veteran G Andre Miller

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Monday that they've signed veteran guard Andre Miller.

Terms of the contract have not been disclosed. Miller played for both the Washington Wizards and Sacramento Kings last season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.5 assists while playing 15.5 minutes per game over 81 games last season. He played in 51 games for the Wizards before being traded to the Kings.

Miller has played for seven teams over 16 years in the NBA. For his career, he's averaging 12.8 points and 6.7 assists per game over 1,265 games. Miller leads active NBA players with 8,437 career assists. He's one of eight players in NBA history with at least 16,000 career points and 8,000 career assists.

He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the No. 8 pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.
