Timberwolves Sign Second Round Pick Glenn Robinson III

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Wednesday they've signed second round draft pick Glenn Robinson III to a contract.

Robinson III, a 6-6 forward from Michigan, was taken by the Timberwolves in the NBA Draft back in June with the 40th overall pick. Terms of his contract were not released.

Robinson III spent part of the summer playing for the Timberwolves in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas after being drafted. In that league, he averaged 7.7 points and three rebounds per game in four starts. His best game was a 17-point performance which came on 6-of-13 shooting.

He started all 76 games of his Michigan career, averaging 12 points and nearly five rebounds per game in two seasons for the Wolverines. He's also the son of Glenn Robinson Jr., the No. 1 overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft.
