Thomas Beach At Lake Calhoun Closed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A popular Lake Calhoun beach is closed due to high levels of E. coli.

Thomas Beach closed Thursday when regular testing found high levels of the bacteria.

Thomas Beach was the site of the Minneapolis Aquatennial beach bash last Sunday.

Despite Thomas Beach being closed, Calhoun North Beach and Calhoun 32nd Beach are both open.

The beach will remain closed until further notice.

For more information on other beach closings, visit the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation website.
