These Plymouth Preschoolers Made Their Own 'CCO Weather Center

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The preschoolers at the New Horizon Academy in Plymouth made their very own weather center, and WCCO meteorologist Lauren Casey paid them a visit on Wednesday.

The kids there use to the center to learn about the weather with experiments, and they even do their own forecasts.

"They love to pretend to be the weather people," said their teacher, Jessica Ely. "They'll have different commercials that they make up, they'll do the weather, they'll do newscasts, it's awesome."

Ely said that they decided to build a weather center because some of the students are scared of lightning and storms. The goal was to ease that anxiety by making weather interactive and fun.
