Therapist Accused Of Aiding Escape At St. Paul Juvenile Facility

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Twin Cities therapist is accused of helping two teenage boys escape a juvenile corrections facility.

The teens escaped from Boys Totem Town in St. Paul's Battle Creek neighborhood last week.

Police say 29-year-old Karen Meyer plotted with the teens, giving them money and a ride.

Charges say Meyer and one of the boys, who is 17, had an intimate relationship. A witness said they were seen "making out," and they planned to marry when he turned 18.

Police arrested Meyer at her home this week. The boy is still missing.
