'The Commons' Greenspace Opens Near U.S. Bank Stadium
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Downtown Minneapolis' newest public green space is officially open for use.
The Commons is located between 4th and 5th streets, just a block from U.S. Bank Stadium.
People gathered at the park for the grand opening event Thursday afternoon.
Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges and other community leaders spoke.
The Commons spans just over four acres and includes a great lawn, splash pad, play mounds, and a dog area.
