The Bigger The Diamond Ring, The Shorter The Marriage?
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- New insight into just how long a marriage will last. Research from Emory University suggests the bigger the diamond, the shorter the marriage.
Of the 3,000 adults surveyed, men who spent between $2,000 and $4,000 on rings were more likely to end up divorced than those who spent less than $2,000.
And it's not just the rings.
Women whose wedding cost $20,000 or more were 3.5 times more likely to divorce than women who spent between $5,000 and $10,000.
