Textile Center's Creepy Crawly Exhibition Mixes Fashion And Nature
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Fashion Week is happening in places like Milan and Paris where designers and models are donning the latest style and pattern trends.
But you don't have to go overseas to see some of these trends. And, in fact, some of these patterns are popping up on more than just store racks.
The Textile Center in Minneapolis is hosting the Creepy Crawly Exhibition: An Entomological Investigation of Textile Pattern.
Artist Jennifer Angus explores art and pattern by using real insects as her tools. Angus creates continuous patterns found in textiles by creating a wallpaper-like installation with insects as the fabric.
The exhibit will be open from 6 – 8 p.m. and runs March 6 through May 16.
