Community Remembering Robbinsdale Theatre With Paintings

ROBBINSDALE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A community is remembering a historic theatre they fought to save.
People gathered at Wicked Wort Brewing in Robbinsdale on Sunday to create their own paintings of the Terrace Theatre. The Terrace opened in 1951, and was once considered one of America's most luxurious theaters.
It closed in 1999. A group tried several times to save the theatre, but failed. The building was demolished just more than two weeks ago.
A portion of the money raised at Sunday's event will be donated to the Robbinsdale Historical Society.
