2 teens arrested in connection to shooting of teen driver in Woodbury

Teen driver shot before crashing into Woodbury garage

WOODBURY, Minn. – Police have arrested two teenagers in connection to the shooting of 17-year-old boy last month in Woodbury.

It happened on Nov. 21 on the 500 block of Lake View Drive. The victim was shot while he was driving, and he ended up crashing his vehicle through a residential garage. He survived, and another teenage boy who was inside the vehicle wasn't hurt.

Woodbury police announced Thursday that multiple agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, conducted two search warrants and arrested two boys, ages 15 and 16.

Police originally said the suspects knew the teens inside the vehicle, and a "disagreement" preceded the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
