Teen Killed, Another Hurt In Faribault County Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A teenager from St. James was killed in a crash along Highway 169 between Winnebago and Blue Earth Wednesday evening.

The crash also seriously injured a 19-year-old passenger in the same vehicle.

The Minnesota State Patrol said that the crash happened on icy roads. A Chevrolet vehicle crossed the centerline on Highway 169 and struck a Pontiac traveling in the opposite direction.

The 19-year-old driver, who has yet to be identified by authorities, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was taken the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was also transported from the crash with non-life threatening injuries.
