Twin Cities Marathon Events Kickoff
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A reminder to drivers heading into the Twin Cities this weekend: the Twin Cities Marathon will close many streets along the route.
Saturday morning's events include the 10K and 5K, and family events like the half mile, Diaper Dash and the Toddler Trot.
The 35th annual Twin Cities Marathon begins Sunday morning with a 10-mile race at 7 a.m., followed by the marathon at 8 a.m. Both races start near U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
Officials are urging drivers to check out the course map and taking alternative routes to avoid street closures.
