Taste Of The Nation Event Raises Money For No Kid Hungry

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Classrooms are empty across the state as school has officially ended for the summer.

For nearly a quarter of a million kids across the state, this means their meals and nutrition will take a big hit.

The money raised goes Share Our Strength Minneapolis, an organization that helps combat child hunger. SOS partners directly with Second Harvest Heartland and University of Minnesota's Co-op Extension.

Chef Seth Bixby Daugherty, who brought Share Our Strength to Minnesota 11 years ago and is a true champion on Child Hunger in Minnesota, joined WCCO This Morning to discuss a special even to raise money for the program.
