Target Center Unveils Largest Center-Hung Scoreboard In Upper Midwest

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – With Target Field across the street and U.S. Bank Stadium opening on the other side of downtown, Target Center had to do something to keep up.

A state-of-the-art scoreboard is one way to get people's attention. The Minnesota Lynx and Timberwolves unveiled the new scoreboard on Friday, the largest center-hung arena scoreboard in the upper Midwest.

The board will make its game debut on Sunday when the Lynx take on the Seattle Storm.

The scoreboard is part of a series of renovations that include new suite offerings, a new sound system, new stadium lights and improved restrooms and seating.

The 18 month remodeling project began in June.
