Tap Talk: Dangerous Man Plans To Expand Brewery, Add 'Growler Shoppe'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Due to the high demand for its craft beer, popular northeast Minneapolis microbrewery Dangerous Man plans to expand.

In plans submitted to the City of Minneapolis, Dangerous Man proposes to expand their 3,200 square foot facility into a vacant adjoining tenant space -- adding 1,600 square feet of space.

The back two-thirds of the space would house six additional fermenters "to allow more variety and to keep up with current demand."

Dangerous Man would add a retail area in front of the additional space for growlers (65-ounce jugs of beer) along with merchandise.

"The Dangerous Man Growler Shoppe would offer customers the ability to fill growlers and to purchase pre-filled growlers on site," the proposal said.

The expansion would not sell beer to be consumed.

Dangerous Man is located on 1304 2nd Street NE.
